I bought a couple things from them over the years but being more of a focused consumer, never really understood the RE and its brethren (Brookstone, Sharper Image, etc.) Still, it feels sad. RE made its presence known in the last several years and whether it was a strong concept or not, it feels like when a supporting actor passes away after years in the backlight.
